Broward County Drowning Prevention Task Force

Mission Statement:

To protect children from drowning and aquatic related injuries and disabilities by promoting safer water practices and providing premier, strategic community-wide education to residents of Broward County.

Vision:

To achieve and sustain zero
drowning rate for children in
Broward County.

The Broward County Drowning Prevention Task Force meets monthly. Membership is comprised of individuals, groups, organizations, academic institutions, social services, first responders, healthcare providers and aquatic professionals who are interested in or are responsible for the safety of children.

The Task Force is responsible to provide a strategy and co-ordinate drowning prevent efforts throughout Broward County under the branding of Water Smart Broward.
